Unsung Heroes

Two members of the Roger Bettles Sports Centre staff became Unsung Heroes after racing to local resident's aid.

What would you do if confronted by an unconscious person lying on the pavement?

That’s just the situation that 2 members of staff from the Roger Bettles Sports Centre found themselves in whilst driving into Oadby.

After spotting a man needing medical attention on the side of the road both members of staff rushed over to the casualty and performed CPR until the ambulance arrived. Their immediate and calm reaction to the situation helped to save this man’s life.

Congratulations to both of the members of staff for their actions in what was literally a life or death situation.

The story has been so well received by the local and national public that ITV’s Good Morning Britain ran the story live on air. This can be seen here.
