The University of Leicester Sport and recreation Service held their first workshop on the 22nd February aimed at performance athletes. The workshop which titled:  Drug Testing: Keeping Safe in Competitive Sport was delivered by University alumni and Paralympic Gold medallist Danielle Brown.

The workshop which was delivered in the Ken Edwards lecture theatre was attended but Sports Scholars and Team Leicester athletes across a range of individual and team based sports as well as Sports Development staff that work with students on a day to day basis.

All those in attendance had the opportunity to find out more about the drug testing process, how they can be safe in competition but also where they can seek further advice.

The workshop is of many that will be delivered to performance athletes and scholars throughout the year to develop their knowledge and offer additional support that will contribute to their performance.
