HE Talks and Workshops (Post-16)

These sessions are designed to help students and parents make sense of the many aspects of going to university and the opportunities available to them.

University of Leicester representatives are also willing to attend your careers fairs and parents evenings (subject to staff availability).

  • The UCAS Process
  • Personal Statements
  • Student Finance and Budgeting
  • Student Life - My Journey (delivered by Leicester Student Ambassador)
  • Applying for Medicine
  • Study Skills (requires sound)
  • Preparing for Higher Education Exhibitions
  • Employability
  • Preparing for University
  • Confirmation, Clearing and Adjustment

Interactive workshops include:

Interactive workshops are intended for groups of up to 40 students and can be delivered as 30 minute, 45 minute or one hour sessions.

Please note that access to a computer and data projector is required for all of the above sessions and a fully qualified teacher must be present. Students should be briefed and prepared for the session.
