Student Experience Conference

Wednesday 12 December 2018

10.00am - 3.45pm on main campus

Our annual Student Experience Conference focuses on student life here at Leicester. This year’s theme is collaborative support students receive academically and outside of academia.

We are delighted to announce our Key Note Speaker as Ross Renton, Pro Vice Chancellor for Student Experience from the University of Worcester, who is leading a discussion around student support in Higher Education.

During the day you will also have the opportunity to take part in three interactive workshops, co-delivered by professional services and academic colleagues, on key themes related to the Student Experience.

You can choose three of the following workshops to attend:

  • Mental health support
  • Employability and graduate outcomes
  • Assessment and feedback
  • Transition, orientation and induction
  • Who are our students?

The above workshops will each cover the following within their themes:

  • What has been done to improve practise in a particular area;
  • Sharing some of the results, based on interventions/activities in that area;
  • Some information and tools to support colleagues in their own areas of work.

You will receive a personalised agenda closer to the event with locations depending on the workshops you choose.

There will also be an interactive student services showcase featuring stands from across the university and lunch is also provided.

Suitable for both academic and professional services staff, we look forward to seeing you there.
