Your Identity Check

For new home and EU students starting in September 2020 and living in University-managed accommodation, your Identity Check will take place on arrival in your accommodation and you will receive your student ID card.
If you are not living in University-managed accommodation, you will need to collect your student ID card from the University campus.

New home and EU students will need to complete an Identity Check at the start of term to complete registration and receive a student ID card.

This year we are carrying out these checks remotely for safety reasons. For the Identity Check (UK, EEA or Swiss citizens) please email either a copy of the photo/details page of your passport, EU National Identity Card, or a copy of your UK long birth certificate to  Please include your full name and 9-digit student number in the email.  Please email your document to us as soon as possible and at the latest before the start of your course.

The University do not keep copies of these documents and will delete the email and document copy once the Identity Check has been processed.
