University Sterling Bank Details

Information for students who pay their university course fees by bank transfer.

If you received an offer of a place showing tuition fees in GBP, you can pay the University by using Western Union Business Solutions bank transfer service to make bank to bank transfers to the University of Leicester.

If you are unable to use this service or prefer to send a transfer directly to the University please be aware that your transaction may experience banking delays and take longer to show on your University account.

Remember to include your name and your University of Leicester Student ID number (9 digit number) as a reference on your bank transfer.

Due to a change in Government Legislation Larger UK Banks are required to separate its retail banking operations from its other operations by 1 January 2019. As a result Barclays have created a new bank to deal with their retail services. This therefore means the University sort code has recently been changed from 20-49-11 to 20-49-37. Payments made using sort code 20-49-11 will automatically be directed to the new sort code.
