Changes for 2015/16

There are a few changes to be aware of when entering marks for 2015/16:

    Assessment marks must be entered as an integer

    Marks are now stored to 2 decimal places in SITS. This change affects everyone in the way that assessment marks are entered:

    • Assessment marks should be entered at assessment level as an Integer
    • Module results are calculated to 2 decimal places

    New PGT Fail Grade

    On 1 October 2015 a new PGT Fail grade of D was introduced.

    • Students covered by the old regulations see an F if they fail within the D grade mark range.
    • Students covered by the new regulations will see a D if they fail within the D grade mark range.
    • This will be automatically be generated once you have added the mark and grade into MyStudentRecord.

    Change to Absence Grade with mitigation (UG and PGT)

    On 1 October 2015 the Absence with Mitigation grade changed from D to H.

    Change in Pass for Credit Grade

Pass for Credit will now automatically be applied to any failed assessments for any students on the pass for credit marking scheme on their current level of study. The vast majority of undergraduate modules are on Pass for Credit marking schemes.

    • Registry run a process after the last Panel and before the Board that will calculate any Pass for Credit grades.
    • The process will fail if students have a suspected case of plagiarism or exam offence. In such cases Pass for Credit could be applied manually or Registry could re-run the process.
    • Any resits will have to be applied manually.

    Reassessment Recommendations

You can now review and amend reassessment recommendations for a whole board as well as individuals using View Board of Examiners results on the MyStudentRecord homepage.

  • Enter a student number to view individual results
  • Enter a Board code to view the results for the whole board
