Submitting Non-Electronic Applications

When submitting hard copy application forms please check whether a central authority signature is required. If this is the case you will need to make an appointment with the member of the RSO Pre-Awards Team dealing with your department. Note that the person signing off will be checking that we have received a signed Approval Form from Lucre (with signatures of the PI and Head of department) and that the costs on the Application Form match the costs on Lucre. A signature will not be given if these criteria are not fulfilled.

Even if a signature is not required on the application you must send a copy to the RSO. If you don't your application will not be reported, which could be detrimental to yourself and your department.

Electronic submissions:

Once the application has been submitted online an automated e-mail is sent to RSO to inform us of the submission. RSO then checks all financial details. The costs in the Approval Form and the online form have to match. RSO submits the application online to the funder. In some cases the approval of the Head of Department is required before RSO approval.

Please submit with sufficient time in case alterations are necessary. The websites close at exactly the times stated. Take care; the time that you submit the application is not when it is received by the funder. It is the time when the RSO approves the application that needs to be before the deadline (The RSO closes at 5pm).
