Planning and measuring impact

Building impact assessment into your research project

ballsIt is important to think about impact at the very beginning of your research project. At this early stage, you are likely to be considering potential impact – certainty is unlikely until the research is concluded and the findings known. Therefore, the emphasis will be on identifying the potential for impact and creating pathways, processes and plans which ensure that opportunities for turning potential into actual impact are fully realised. There may be multiple possibilities and pathways to impact, involving more than one group of beneficiaries.
