Session Overview

Delegates will learn to:

  • know what an employer wants from an employment interview;
  • have a plan for how to prepare for an employment interview;
  • have developed a strategy for presenting answers to employment interview questions;
  • appreciate both verbal and non-verbal communication as it applies to an employment interview scenario;
  • Be aware of the key peripheral issues around an employment interview.

Early Career Researchers, Post Docs, Research Staff

Facilitator

 

Martin Coffey delivers careers and employability provision to postgraduate research students across the three colleges of the University, working from college-specific employability strategies. Provision includes a PhD internship programme and career and enterprise skills training, both face-to-face and online. He facilitates sector-specific employer events and one-to-one career consultations. Provision extends to University staff as and when required.
