Session Overview

This workshop is aimed at supervisors of DL research degree students, and provides an opportunity to share and discuss good practice around the specific requirements and issues relating to supervising doctoral students at distance. It will cover issues such as the distinctive expectations, requirements and experiences of DL research degree students, and provide an opportunity for supervisors of DL research degree students to raise and discuss issues relating to the responsibilities, experiences and practicalities of supervising at distance. It will be a space for troubleshooting current issues as well.

The session will be useful for both supervisors experienced in DL research student supervision and those new to it, as well as for PGR Directors/Tutors in schools/departments where there are DL research degree students.
