Building Employability Skills (part 2)

Unit 3: Career Management Skills Seminars, Level 1

Who is this Unit for?
This unit is designed for all postgraduate researchers (PGRs).

These seminars are focused on enabling the PGR to develop an understanding of where they are on each of the skills employers seek (as in Unit 1). This involves a stepwise process, through planning and executing each PGRs personal and professional development, through demonstrating these in a relevant context in CVs, job applications and interviews.

During the academic year, each of these workshops is run once in each college and twice centrally. Thus, as a PGR you have three opportunities to attend each workshop. Workshop materials are also available on the Research Essentials Online Blackboard Site.
