A training session for staff: Reporting research and enterprise activities through the Higher Education Business and Community Interaction Survey: HESA training for University staff -- Wednesday 4 November --

Do you want to find out more about Research and Enterprise activities at the University of Leicester and how and why we report on these?

On Wednesday 4 November 2015, the Research and Enterprise Division will be hosting a one-day training session provided by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). The session will focus on the annual Higher Education Business and Community Interaction Survey (HEBCIS).

It will explore the definition of research used for annual reporting, and the types of activities which are reported, such as collaborative and contract research, consultancy, CPD, events, external use of facilities and services and commercialisation / IP work.

The session will also provide information about how the data is collected and how it can be explored further.

The whole session will run from 10am-3pm, with the main seminar presentation in the morning (10am-12.30pm, Ken Edwards Lecture Theatre 3) followed by lunch and workshop sessions in the afternoon.

We invite any colleagues interested in finding out more about this important area of the University’s work to attend this session. To reserve your place, please email Angharad Roberts (ar407@le.ac.uk) indicating whether you would like to attend the morning seminar or the whole day.
