White Rose University Consortium launch

Tory Hayward meets the Vice Chancellor of York University

The University of Leicester was represented at the recent launch of the White Rose University Consortium’s Brussels Office.

Tory Hayward, European Programme Manager from Leicester’s Research & Enterprise Division, attended the prestigious event at the British Ambassador’s Residence. The White Rose Consortium is a collaboration between the universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. The Brussels Office will enable the three universities to engage with key stakeholders on areas of research excellence which are supported by EU funding and align with current EU research priorities.

The University of Leicester was there as a supporter and friend of the White Rose initiative, and we hope to continue to support and collaborate with the new office in the future.

In the same spirit of collaboration, Leicester has taken the lead in setting up an informal network of East Midlands Universities based on contacts from the UKRO regional grouping. This group will share best practice, and provide a platform for discussing the important consultations and policy developments currently impacting university engagement with EU funding.
