The 2016 event takes place on Weds 16th March at the King Power Stadium and will focus on healthcare, space technology and transport, manufacturing, and the creative and digital economy. Academics and researchers who are active in these areas are encouraged to attend (register for free). However any Leicester academics who are interested in working with business, engaging with the UKTI, KTN or Innovate UK would benefit greatly from attending this event which is right on our doorstep.

The event also includes the UKTI’s global trade exchange, and opportunities for small businesses and our own Leicester students to pitch for investment.

Driving growth in the region is part of the University’s Strategic Plan and President and Vice Chancellor, Professor Paul Boyle will take part in the opening address the evening before to set out how the University is a key partner in delivering business innovation.

As part of the programme, the University is involved in workshops/seminars including:

  • Not Just an Egg - Just Egg Ltd and the University of Leicester
  • Funded Research and Innovation Support - From University of Leicester and University of Derby
  • Polluted Cities from Space - Revealing new market opportunities to manage urban environments, Dr Roland Leigh, University of Leicester
