Collecting Items from the University of Leicester Campus

Campus Click and Collect

When can I collect my belongings?
You will be able to collect your belongings from 20th May 2020. You will need to ensure that you book a slot to do this, using this form.

Will I be able to access my building/office to collect my belongings?
All access to buildings have been removed. Once you book an available slot, your access card will be updated to provide you access only for the allocated time of your visit.

What if I just turn up to collect my belongings?
It will be a wasted journey and you won’t be able to gain access. We have allocated booking slots in order to reduce the number of staff coming onto campus and ensure we comply with social distancing guidance. Critical workers and contractors may be on site, and therefore we need to ensure that we manage the collection of your belongings in order to ensure the safety of everyone.

How many people can come with me to collect my belongings?
None, you will have to attend alone.

How do I book a slot to collect my belongings?
Booking an available slot is via this link.

What do I need to bring with me?
You will need to bring your university access card in order to swipe into the location you are visiting and any office keys where relevant.

Are there any restrictions to collecting my belongings?
You should not attend site if you or anyone with you has COVID-19 symptoms, or is shielding. You should not attempt to collect your belongings if you have not booked a slot. You should not attend site unless there is essential work/equipment that you have to collect in order to carry on working from home.

Can someone collect my belongings on my behalf?
No, this is not possible.

Where do I park to collect my belongings?
You will be able to park in the car park closest to the building you are visiting.

What happens if I miss my booking slot?
You will need to re-book using the online form for another date. We cannot rearrange your booking slot for later in the day or another day.

Are there any other conditions for attending site?
You must download the university Safezone app before booking your slot. When on campus you will need to be checked-in through the app.

Can I work in my office?
No. You can only work in your office if you are already on the critical worker list, this booking is to collect essential work/equipment only.

 

Post Collection

Do I need to make an appointment to pick up or send post?

Please book a time slot to collect your post. You can book using the online system. This will ensure we can get your post ready for you and we can follow social distancing guidelines.

Can I send external post from the Post Room?

Yes, mail and parcels can be accepted.

 

Where should I park to use the Post Room?

Please use the Sports Centre car park.

 

Are you collecting outgoing post and delivering internal post to campus buildings?

We are not collecting outgoing post from departments and only delivering post to departments where previous arrangements have been made.

 

What safety measure will be in place when I come to collect my post?

There is signage outside the visitor entrance allowing only one member of staff into the reception area at any one time.

 

What if post has been sent to me but I am unable to collect it?

We will keep it safely in the post room until you return.

Can someone else collect post on my behalf?

We would need an email from your staff account with details of the individual collecting post on your behalf and they would need to provide photo ID at collection.

When will normal post service resume?

We will keep you updated on any changes to the post service and we are continuing to review Government guidelines, supported by colleagues in Safety Services.
