New astronomical brand campaign for University of Leicester invites potential students to ‘launch yourself’

The University of Leicester has launched its first major brand and recruitment campaign.

The space themed brand campaign celebrates the University’s campus-based space research centre and its reputation in space technology, showing potential students that the University of Leicester really is the place to launch yourself into your future.

The campaign features this week on TV, cinema, social media and national press. It will run over the next six weeks.

The work has been created by academic and professional service staff, together with TBWA\Manchester, featuring students and staff in dozens of locations across campus in a whirlwind two day shoot.

Georgina Kelly, Group Marketing Director at the University of Leicester says: “This campaign proposition elevates the University with a strong metaphor, which reflects our expertise and strengths and is also easily understood and is brilliantly executed by the team at TBWA.”

Lisa Nichols, Executive Creative Director at TBWA\Manchester commented: “The University of Leicester has a great history of providing unique advantages that other Universities can’t offer. It’s given us the opportunity to create some fantastic work for them based around their links to space technology and space sciences and other distinctive academic courses.”
