The posters were examined by twenty three esteemed judges, with backgrounds ranging across the public, private and charity sectors, including the research councils.

The Festival concluded with a talk on “Pursuing Knowledge, Shaping Policy, Influencing Practice: A Personal Journey towards ‘Impact’” by Professor Dianne Wilcocks CBE DL, an accomplished academic leader and advocate for socially inclusive higher education, former Vice-Chancellor of York St John University and former Deputy Principal of Sheffield Hallam University.

Head of Researcher Development, Dr Meera Warrier, said: “The Festival is an annual high point on the University’s calendar, when we invite external judges from across the public sector, charities, media and industry to evaluate the best posters out of the competitively selected 50 best posters from our research student community.
