The Department will be celebrating Martin’s life by presenting a programme of music by University of Leicester musicians and anecdotes from friends and colleagues.

“He was an extremely gifted teacher of undergraduates. Even before the days of student evaluation questionnaires the undergraduates made it very clear that he was the best teacher in the Department.

“Martin had a great and sometimes mischievous sense of humour.”

The musical programme will include Oboe Quartet Mozart, Slow movement of Winter from the Four Seasons’ - Vivaldi, Air on the G string- Bach, The Trumpet Shall Sound - Handel, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik - Mozart plus a selection of solos for voice, cello and piano by University of Leicester staff and students.
