Five awards for University of Leicester

University recognised in Higher Education Marketing Awards ceremony

The University of Leicester came away clutching a quintet of medals from the HEIST Awards - the Olympics of Higher Education Marketing – held in Leeds.

The University picked up a Gold Award in the Best PR/Advocacy Campaign. The University worked with the Leicester Mercury and Radio Leicester in particular to communicate the importance of animal research and its medical benefits.

Former Leicester Mercury award-winning feature writer Adam Wakelin was provided access to the University’s research facilities  for a feature which demonstrated to the judges the importance and benefits of an open approach to animal research.  Adam’s feature is here:

Radio Leicester also held a debate on the issue which raised the profile of the subject. 
The University also won a Gold Award for Best Strategic Campaign – for the Leicester Exchanges debating platform.

In the Best Alumni/Fundraising Campaign, the University picked up a Silver Award. And both of the printed prospectuses won awards: Silver for the Postgraduate one and Bronze for the Undergraduate one.
