A message from the Director

Code of a Killer on campus

"I first became aware of this incredible story over a decade ago when I directed an ITV documentary about what happened and it has lived with me ever since.

"I always knew it would make a brilliant drama and I'm so proud we were able to put together such an incredible team to bring this film to the screen. When dealing with a real story there is a great responsibility to be accurate and sensitive to the real people and events. We took great care and have tried to do this and be as sensitive as possible - but this is a dramatic interpretation - so please forgive us any small errors and oversights.

A huge thanks to the University of Leicester whose superb planning and generosity enabled us to pull off a very ambitious two days of shooting.

James Strong

"Often TV drama tells the stories of famous people; of royalty, prime ministers and rock stars - but this is a story of ordinary people. And yet they are anything but ordinary - what they did changed the world and I am immensely proud to have told their story. So thank you Alec and David.

"Also huge thanks to the University of Leicester whose superb planning and generosity enabled us to pull off a very ambitious two days of shooting.

"Finally, I dedicate this film to the families Dawn and Linda and their families - who's humanity, dignity, strength and compassion have allowed us to tell this incredible story. Thank you."
