Course Overview

 

This short hands on course will give you the opportunity to learn how to use readinglists@Leicester to make electronic reading lists for your modules, and make them available in Blackboard.

Training Sessions can cover creating, editing, publishing and republishing lists.

Drop-in Sessions are an opportunity to ask questions and discuss specific needs related to your lists.

Training Sessions (for Staff)

If you want to learn how to make a reading list or edit an existing one, the following training session will help:

Embedded Training Sessions (for Departments)

Embedded sessions are an opportunity to ask questions and discuss specific needs related to your lists and will be delivered within your own Department on request.

Training sessions - Updating Reading Lists

If you have a reading list already and want to know how to update and republish it for next academic year, the following training sessions will help:

What can I expect to cover?

Searching, bookmarking items and creating reading lists.

What will I get out of this course?

On completion of this course you will be able to use readinglists@Leicester to:

  • bookmark recommended readings
  • create reading lists
  • send recommendations to the library for order
Who is it for?

Academics who teach. 

Admin staff responsible for drawing up reading lists.

Participant preparation needed?

Pre-course preparation:

  1. Watch this introductory video  (lasts 10 minutes)
  2. Bring a reading list that you can make into an electronic reading list
