Course Description


This online course is for staff and PhD researchers who are familiar with the basic features of 'Skype for Business'. It will help you to hold more effective online meetings which make the most of the interactive features available.

You will attend the course online from your own desk using a headset with microphone.

What can I expect to cover? 

During the course you will have the opportunity to try out the meeting features within Skype for Business as a meeting participant. You will find out how to setup a meeting and share content with other participants.

What will I get out of this course? 

On completion of this course you will be able to use Skype for Business meeting features to:

  • Present PowerPoint slides
  • Use a Whiteboard to upload an image, add annotations and collect ideas
  • Present programs on your screen to other participants
  • Change meeting options to restrict participation in a meeting

This course will be run using Skype for Business.  Delegates will participate while sitting at their own computer.

What prior experience do I need?

Before attending you need to have experience of using Skype for Business to communicate using:

  • Instant messages
  • Voice calls
