Course Description

 

Course Overview

This course will introduce you to the available tools and features which can help you to communicate and collaborate using Office 365. The course will begin with an overview of the different elements of Office 365 and will clarify the terminology.

In smaller teams, you will investigate and explore an Office 365 App, present your findings and demonstrate to the rest of the group.
You will try out and see previews of different Apps so that you can make informed decisions about which to use for different situations.

For Group bookings:

This 3.5 hour course can be run on request. For a group booking of 5 or more people you can arrange a session to suit your department or team's availability.

What will I get out of this course?
By the end of the session you will be able to:
  • Identify the elements of Office 365 and how they might be used
  • Use OneDrive to store and retrieve documents and to share drafts
  • Explain the benefits and limitations of collaborating on documents using different apps
  • Choose which app, program or storage location to use for different tasks
Who is it for? All Staff.
Participant preparation needed?

You will be sent materials to review before the course and will need to agree to some post-course practice.

What prior experience do I need?
You must be proficient in using a computer to:
  • Work with Microsoft programs e.g Word and PowerPoint
  • Switch between open programs
  • Manage files and folders in Windows
  • Navigate in a browser (eg. Chrome) with multiple tabs
