Explains the importance of effective contract management and what it looks like; its numerous elements, including knowing the contract conditions/deliverables, relationship management, service delivery management, risk management, change control, handling disputes, and exiting the contract.

What will I get out of this course?

A fuller understanding of what effective contract management entails, and the role you and others (including Category Managers) play.

Who is it for?

Non-procurement professionals involved in managing contracts/suppliers.

Participant preparation needed?

It would be helpful if the participants made themselves familiar with any contracts for which they are responsible. Whilst the session is based on a Powerpoint presentation, the intention is that it be kept informal with participants contributing their thoughts and experiences and asking questions throughout.

What prior experience do I need? No experience necessary. The course is aimed at those involved in managing contracts going forward.

None.

To be delivered by the Head of Procurement or a Category Manager from the Procurement Unit.
