Focus On Learning Connections

Date: 4 - 6 April 2017

This three day event included sessions on learning spaces, sustainability, staff-student partnerships, school and HE connections, and student welcome week. The final day of this event combined an exhibition of assessment and feedback technologies with short talks from academic colleagues.

Focus On Learning, Teaching and Assessment

Date: 12 - 14 September 2016

This event featured a range of interactive workshops and was attended by academic and professional colleagues from across the University. Sessions included planning and undertaking pedagogic research, curriculum design and development, technology enhanced learning, assessment and feedback as dialogue, and diversity in Assessment.

Focus On Learning, Teaching and Assessment

Date: 12 - 14 April 2016

This three day event included sessions on Assessment and Feedback, the launch of the new lecture capture service Reflect, a briefing on the core maths qualification and a workshop on supporting academic transitions for students on flexible pathways.

The Future of the Digital Student

Date: 16 January 2016

The aim of the conference in January was to foster partnerships across university, industry and business sectors. Four projects arose from the discussions on the day which you are invited to join.

3rd Annual Learning and Teaching Conference - Beyond the Placement: Where next?

The conference explored how employability can be integrated more firmly into the curriculum structure at Leicester. A particular focus was on how to further enhance our students’ employability through a variety of learning, teaching and assessment approaches deriving from a greater coherence of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

This one day symposium focused on pertinent issues surrounding assessment and feedback practice, providing colleagues with a chance to reflect on, discuss and be inspired by different approaches. Student engagement with feedback was a key feature of the day, picking up on scrutiny over NSS results in this area.

Focus On:  Technology Enhanced Learning for Student Engagement

Date: 17 December 2014

This event focused on how to use technology to enhanced student engagement.  As well as presentations and workshops, there was a Learning Technology drop-in lab where people could come and try lecture capture, audience voting systems, mobile learning, multimedia and get Blackboard tips and tricks
