Programme Re-approval

The criteria and process for a simple amendment to a programme

Simple amendments should be managed through the normal curriculum change process. This normally runs from January to March each academic year, with guidance provided to departments from December onwards.

The criteria and process for a significant amendment to a programme

Significant amendments, as defined in the Quality Office Code of Practice, will normally require a Programme Approval Panel. In order to make what are expected to be widescale significant changes in light of the module, credit and pathways activities, we are looking to introduce a ‘light touch’ process for changes up to a certain scale. These would not require full programme approval, and would be considered within a College.

The scale and path for approval of your own changes should be determined initially through consultation with the College Quality Office Partner.
