Programme approval

The programme approval process and documentation is changing for programmes from 2018/19 entry onwards. This is in order to evaluate achievement of Curriculum Transformation aims and monitor/support compliance with requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (informed by guidance from the Competition and Markets Authority).

Guidelines and templates will soon be available on both the Quality Office and Curriculum Transformation websites.

Before you submit your programme approval documents test the robustness of your curriculum design:

  • Is your programme scalable, maintainable and sustainable?
  • Have you fully resourced the course?
  • Are the underpinning administrative and support models effective?
  • Are the chosen models for delivery appropriate for your market?
  • Have you described a high-quality student experience?
