Smart Printers

Costs

Following the upgrade of University photocopiers to Smart Printers, nearly all Smart Printer costs will now be paid for centrally. The budgets have been centralised so that IT Services can manage the most effective use of the budget and Smart Printers in use across the University.

This includes:

  • Monthly rental of your Smart Printer(s)
  • Replacement toner cartridges
  • ‘Click charges’ (cost of printing or copying each side)
  • Support, servicing, repairs and replacement parts
  • Software licences and support

You will still need to buy paper for your Smart Printer(s) from your departmental budget.

The project is currently in warranty period, supporting the Smart Printers that have already been installed and completing project activities.

How do I place an order?

This phase of the project was for replacement photocopier devices only. If a new Smart Printer is requested, this will involve a review of the print and copy facilities available in the current location and recommendations made accordingly.
