The new phones offer many improvements and they will also allow us to take advantage of new features in the future.

Main features

Here are some of the main improved features that were introduced with the new phones:

  • A screen, making it easier to control the features of the phone
  • Caller Display, so you can see the name or number of the person calling you
  • Voicemail that you can pick up from any phone or via email. See the Voicemail page for more information.
  • Smart keys giving one button access to those numbers you call frequently. You can find instructions on how to program the keys in the reference materials on the Digital desk phones help page.

Specialised Features

The phones also offer some features that will help specific groups of people:

  • Unanswered calls can be diverted around a team
  • You can hold conference calls
  • There are enhanced PA arrangements for managers and PAs
