Conference facilities in the MSB

The video conferencing suite, located in the Medical Sciences Building (MSB G92), can be used to hold a video conference for up to seven people.

The room is sound damped and available for telephone conferences, video conferencing and radio interviews at broadcast standard using our ISDN lines. The room is supported by the Learning and Teaching Room Support team and can be booked by emailing

Haldane Committee room

Video conference facilities are available in the Fielding Johnson Haldane committee room. To book this room, contact You will also need to book audio and video equipment and ask Learning and Teaching Room Support to assist with any video conferencing calls, as the equipment is not powered on, all the time.

Multi-site video conferencing

University staff can request an account which will provide the facility for video conferencing from their University PC. This can be used if Skype for Business does not meet your requirements and you need to arrange a meeting between different sites.

Go to register for an account. This request will be reviewed by Learning and Teaching Room Support team, who may contact you for further information and to discuss your requirements.

Skype can be used for conference calls or interviews. See the following information about using Skype in the University. Skype can be used in central teaching rooms if you have downloaded it from the Program Installer on your University IT account.

Borrow audio and video equipment
