How do you see your marks and feedback?

You may be able to see the results of your assessments from Blackboard, if your department uses this method. You will not be able to see anyone else's results.

You can see your assessment results either using My Grades, or by going back to the original submission point:

  1. Login to Blackboard.
  2. Open your course site and find the area where you submitted your work
  3. Click on the same link that you used to submit your work. This will vary depending on the type of assignment:
    1. Turnitin assignment
    2. Blackboard assignment
    3. Test
    4. Discussion forum
    5. Blog or journal
    6. Wiki

Turnitin assignment

  1. Click on the View/Complete link

  3. The Turnitin Feedback Studio will open in a new window.
  4. Click on a bubble to see the full comment

  5. You may also see comments written directly on the document
  6. Click the Instructor Feedback button to see overall comments on your work

  7. If your tutor is using a rubric (marking grid) to give you feedback, you can click on the View Rubric button to see more feedback on your work.
  8. Your mark for the assignment will be shown in the top right of the screen

  9. To download your assignment (including the feedback) so that you can save or print it, click on the Download button on the bottom right

Blackboard assignment

  1. Click on the name of the assignment
  2. You will see your mark and feedback from your tutor on the right of the screen.
  3. If the assignment was marked using a rubric, you can click the Rubric button to see more detailed feedback

Tests

  1. Click on the link for the test
  2. Click Begin
  3. If you have already taken the test, you can click View All Attempts to see your results
  4. Click on your Grade to see your feedback

Discussion forum

  1. Open the discussion forum
  2. Click the Grading Information button

  3. You will see your marks and feedback on the right of the screen
  4. If the forum was marked using a rubric, you can click the Rubric button to see more detailed feedback

Blogs and journals

  1. Click on the link to open the blog or journal
  2. You can see your marks and feedback on the right of the screen. If you don't see them, click on All Course Members then choose your name
  3. If the blog or journal was marked using a rubric, you can click the Rubric button to see more detailed feedback

  1. Click on the link to open the wiki
  2. Click the My Contribution button on the top right
  3. You will see your marks and feedback on the right of the screen
  4. If the wiki was marked using a rubric, you can click the Rubric button to see more detailed feedback

My Grades

My Grades is an alternative way to see your marks and feedback:

  1. Choose the My Grades tool on the Blackboard Home page.  Depending on how the course site has been set up, you may also have a link to My Grades within a course site. This will usually be called 'Feedback and Grades'.

  2. Choose a Blackboard course site from the list on the left of the screen. If you prefer to see the assignments arranged by date, choose the Date option at the top of the screen.

  3. In the right panel, you will see the grades for the selected course site. Assignments are listed in sections with the totals at the top.
