Docking station

You can use a docking station to easily connect your laptop to a mouse, keyboard and screen.

A docking station allows you to simplify the way you 'plug-in' your laptop.  Typically this would be present on your desk and has a number of wires already connected, including the power supply lead, network cable and any USB devices you might have, such as a mouse.  When you want to take your laptop to another location you can simply shutdown or hibernate your laptop and then lift it from the docking station.  This saves having to unplug all the cables connected to your laptop.

Docking station guides
are available which provide information specific to your type of laptop and docking station.
