Make Outlook Calendar work for you and your team

Outlook calendar is available to all staff at the University. You can use the Outlook calendar to help you work more efficiently as a team. There are many ways you can learn how to get the most out of your calendar.

About working together

You can help your team and colleagues around the University by:

  • adding appointments to your calendar
  • labelling appointments correctly

All staff in the University can see your availability. You have control over who can see the details of your appointments.

Even if you don't have many appointments, checking your calendar to find out when you're on holiday can be useful to other staff. You can also use your calendar to plan your workload.

  • When you add your holiday appointments you need to mark them as Out of Office rather than Free.
  • When you add appointments to help you plan your work mark them as Free in your calendar
