ArcGIS is a program for creating and using maps and geographic information.

ArcGIS allows you to analyse your data and author geographic knowledge to examine relationships and test predictions. It includes tools for spatial analysis, data management, mapping and visualisation, geocoding, maps projections, advanced imagery and data sharing. Features include:

  • Map creation
  • Generate reports and charts
  • Visually model and spatially analyse a workflow
  • Data management
  • GIS data editing

Known Issue

Please be aware that if you are using ArcMap a number of the Toolboxes (including Geostatistical Analyst and Spatial Analyst) need to be manually added in by each user to authorise their use.

This can be done by going to Customize > Extensions > Select all toolboxes required

Availability

  • Install using the Software Center for University PCs running Windows 10.
  • Available for home use. Check the terms and conditions before you download.
