Print from your personal device

Mobile Print allows you to print documents from your personal laptop, phone or tablet to University Smart Printers on campus.

If you are printing from an Apple iPhone, iPad or Mac, you can alternatively use AirPrint.

How do I print?

This short video explains the basics of Mobile Print:

You can send an item to print from your personal device in two ways:

Send an Email

Send an email

Attach your file to an email and send it to the printer type you require.

Recommended for mobile phones and tablets.

Upload the file

Upload the document

Upload your document to the Mobile Print website.

Recommended for laptops

Which documents can I print?

You can print most major file formats using Mobile Print:

  • Word
  • PDF
  • Excel
  • Visio
  • PowerPoint
  • Images (JPG, TIF, GIF, BMP)
  • Text (CSV, RTF & TXT)

Known issues

  • A3 printing is not possible at the moment.
  • You are currently unable to upload a document to print on iOS devices (such as iPad and iPhone) using the mobile print website. You can still print your documents by emailing them as attachments.
  • The Mobile Print website won't work with versions of Internet Explorer older than IE10.
  • There may be issues printing from Visio and Excel. If this happens you should convert your document to a PDF file before printing. If you do not currently have the option of converting a file to PDF, you may be able to use a free PDF printer, such as CutePDF.

Unfortunately IT Services is not able to help with the installation of PDF conversion software and you use this program at your own risk.
