Why is OneDrive not suitable for projects?

OneDrive is intended for staff to draft documents and share with colleagues e.g. drafting meeting notes for a meeting and asking for others to amend or add action points. However once revisions have been made the document should be stored within the department e.g. within the Shared Departmental X: drive, for future use.

This is because OneDrive documents only remains available whilst the member of staff is employed. When a member of staff leaves, their OneDrive (and their IT account) is disabled, so other staff will lose access to any documents this individual has shared with them.
