WebDAV on Windows 10

How to access MyFiles off-campus using WebDAV on a Windows 10 PC
  1. From the Start Menu go to File Explorer and select This PC on the left hand pane
  2. Select Computer from the top ribbon
  3. Click on Map Network Drive

  4. Click Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures.

  5. Click Next
  6. Select Choose another network location and click Nextchose custom location
  7. Enter https://myfiles.le.ac.uk/myfiles/webdav and click Nextenter web address
  8. Enter uol\ followed by your University IT account username. Then enter your password, and click Ok
  9. Click Next, then Finish
  10. Login with your University IT account username and password
  11. Navigate to the folder where your file is stored:
    • Personal Z: drive files are under the Home folder. Most of your files will be located in the My Documents folder.
    • Research File Store files are found in the Research-R-Drive folder

If you reboot your University PC, the drive mapping to MyFiles will be lost. You will need to follow these instructions again, to access this WebDAV location.

The maximum file size that can be transferred using WebDAV is limited to just under 2GB
