Allow another person to access you emails

You can give someone Delegate Access to your Inbox or Mailbox to enable them access to folders and permission to send email messages on your behalf

The person owning the email account is referred to as the owner, the person who needs to access another account is referred to as the delegate.

  • An owner can give rights to a delegate
  • A delegate can’t take right rights from an owner

Types of Mailbox access

Other types of delegate access are possible, for example access to specific folders, read only access. Contact the IT Service Desk for help with these settings.

Delegate access

If you prefer, you may want to delegate access to a colleague temporarily e.g. to cover during annual leave.
