Course Overview

You can use PowerPoint to create academic posters for presentations at conferences and other exhibitions. PowerPoint is not a program typically used for publication layout or graphics, but it is convenient to use for poster-making.

What will I get out of this course?

These practical tips and guidelines for producing posters in PowerPoint will help you to:

  • use the University templates
  • use guides to design a poster layout
  • insert and format text
  • insert and modify image files

Who is it for?

Postgraduate researchers (PGR) and students who want to use Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 to create academic posters.

What prior experience do I need?

You should have a basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint before attending this course.

The course will take place in a PC area and you will have an individual PC to work on, therefore places are limited.
