IT Service Desk staff meeting - Friday 17 November 2017 3.30pm - 4.30pm

A staff meeting is held every other Friday afternoon for an hour. You will not be able to contact the IT Service Desk during this time.

Multiple systems unavailable: Monday 4 December - Thursday 7 December 2017

Essential maintenance is scheduled to upgrade the University’s Identity Management System, between 8am on Monday 4 December and 5pm on Thursday 7 December 2017. During this period, multiple systems reliant on the software and hardware will be unavailable. Therefore, you are advised, where possible, to undertake activities affected outside of this period.

IT Self Service maintenance – brief disruption Tuesday 21 November 2017 7.30am – 12 Noon

The ‘Make a Request’ part of IT Self Service may be intermittently unavailable on Tuesday 21 November 2017 between 7.30am until 12 Noon, whilst maintenance is carried out. You can still report an issue using IT Self Service, but you should avoid making a request during this time.

Updated: Install the Microsoft Outlook app if you have upgraded your iPhone or iPad to iOS 11

The issue affecting use of the built-in Mail app following an upgrade to iOS 11 has been fixed and you will now be able to access your University email if you have upgraded to the newer version.

Upgrade your University Mac to MacOS Sierra

If your University Mac is running OS X Yosemite (v10.10.x) you should upgrade to macOS Sierra soon as possible, as Yosemite will not be supported soon. You can use Mac Self Service to upgrade if you are on the Mac Assurance Service. macOS High Sierra is not recommended whilst testing is carried out.
