Blackboard Ally now available

A new accessibility feature called Ally is now available in Blackboard.

What is Blackboard Ally?

Ally will help make your Blackboard courses accessible to all your students by enabling them to download files in alternative formats, such as audio, HTML or electronic Braille.

The only difference that students will see in Blackboard is the download symbol next to attached files:

Ally also gives you feedback on how to improve the accessibility of your course materials. You will notice accessibility indicator dials next to files and other content. Click on the dial to see advice on how to improve the accessibility of your content.

Students do not see these dials. They are only visible to Course Instructors.

You can also see a course accessibility report available from the Course Tools menu.
