The Student record system (including SITS, MyStudentRecord and the student timetable) and SAP (including Employee Self-Service) will be unavailable during essential system maintenance on Thursday 30 March 2017 between 5.00pm and 10.00pm.
High Performance Computing maintenance – Unavailable Wednesday 29 March 2017 8am until 12 Noon on Friday 31 March 2017
ALICE and SPECTRE will be unavailable from 8.00am on Wednesday 29 March 2017 until 12 Noon on Friday 31 March 2017 to allow the storage system to be replaced. You will not be able to use ALICE and SPECTRE during this time.
Employee Self-Service will be unavailable from 4.00pm on Friday 24 March 2017 until 7.00am on Monday 27 March 2017 for the annual maintenance to SAP, the Finance and HR system.
Important maintenance will be applied to SAP from 4.00pm on Friday 24 March 2017 until 7.00am on Monday 27 March 2017. At this time, SAP (including Employee Self Service, LUCRE and any other component of SAP) will be unavailable.
A staff meeting is held every other Friday afternoon for an hour. You will not be able to contact the IT Service Desk during this time.
The University has recently experienced delays whilst ordering Apple products from the selected supplier. IT Services and the Procurement Unit have now selected another reseller.
As part of the OneDrive launch and to ensure your University data is secure, staff and postgraduate researchers will now need to setup and use a PIN when they use Microsoft apps on a mobile device. This affects apps that are currently in use like Yammer and Skype for Business.
Important maintenance is required to the University network which began on Tuesday 14 February 2017 and will continue throughout February and March. You may notice brief interruptions to the network and wifi (e.g. access to the Internet) during 7.00am and 9.00am in University buildings on Tuesday mornings.
