Update to Adobe Acrobat DC by Monday 9 April 2018

Adobe Acrobat X Pro is no longer supported and so will be uninstalled from University PCs on Monday 9 April 2018. If you have Acrobat X Pro installed on your PC, update to Acrobat DC using the Program Installer.

What do I need to do?

If you have Acrobat X Pro installed on your PC, you should update to Acrobat DC before the 9 April 2018 to avoid any disruption to your work.

You can check which version of Acrobat you have installed from the shortcut in the All programs menu or by launching Acrobat and going to Help > About Adobe Acrobat.

Use the Program Installer to install Acrobat DC. This will automatically remove Acrobat X Pro from your computer.

Why?

This version of Acrobat is no longer supported by Adobe and has been superseded by the latest version, Acrobat DC. Acrobat X Pro is no longer receiving bug fixes or security updates from Adobe. It is also not compatible with Office 2013.

When?

Acrobat X will be removed the next time your PC is shut down after 9 April 2018. You will not need to do anything whilst it is uninstalled, but may add several minutes to the time it takes for your PC to shut down.
