Blackboard maintenance complete

The upgrade to Blackboard is now complete and you can login to Blackboard again.

Blackboard unavailable: start of Saturday 15 December 2018 - midday Monday 17 December 2018

The annual upgrade to Blackboard will take place from the start of Saturday 15 December 2018 (at 00:01 GMT) until midday (12:00 GMT) on Monday 17 December 2018. During this time, you won’t be able to login or use Blackboard, Turnitin (including GradeMark) or Reflect (Lecture Capture). Manual or scheduled lecture capture sessions should be recorded.

What

Blackboard will be upgraded and moved to a new platform. After the upgrade, there should be less downtime required for maintenance and updates.

You may notice a few differences to how Blackboard works, but there are no significant changes. See What's New - December 2018 for an overview of the changes after the Blackboard upgrade.

If you have any questions about the upgrade, you can email bbupgrade@le.ac.uk.

Lecture capture

Login to Reflect (Lecture Capture) will also be unavailable during the Blackboard upgrade, which means that you will not be able to watch or edit recordings. However, you will be able to make a manual recording if you work offline.

Should you have any issues with manual recording or require a recording to be urgently uploaded, contact Learning and Teaching Room Support on 2919. They will be available to provide support from 8.30am on Monday 17 December 2018. Any automatically scheduled recordings will be unaffected and will occur as normal, without any action required.

When

00:01 GMT on Saturday, 15 December 2018 until 12:00 GMT on Monday, 17 December 2018 Blackboard, Turnitin (including GradeMark) and Reflect Lecture capture will be unavailable
