How did you discover the University of Leicester?

The School of Museum Studies at Leicester is very famous around the world. It provides a thorough and well-constructed programme along with internship opportunities that benefit students’ careers.

International students are welcomed at Leicester and extra English Language support is offered by the University’s English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU).

Leicester is comfortable, quiet and safe and is located in the middle of England making it convenient to travel to many cities in the UK.

Did you find it easy to adjust to living in Leicester?

At first it was a challenge to become accustomed to my new life at Leicester. The culture was quite different and I needed to enhance my language skills. Attending the English language programmes offered by the ELTU will help newcomers adjust to their new life in the UK much quicker.

The University also offers many social events making it easy to meet other international students.

What are the best things about living and studying at Leicester?

The best thing about living in Leicester is making friends with people from all over the world and experiencing many different cultures. There are also many events and festivals in Leicester which are wonderful to attend.

The best thing about studying at Leicester is learning the skills required for academic writing, and knowing how to resolve problems with the support that the University provides.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about studying at Leicester?

Spend time reading the information provided on the University website and Facebook pages. Try to establish connections with graduates of Leicester and get their advice on how to apply and prepare for your studies.
