Who is it for? New staff, excluding Heads of Department and researchers
What is the purpose? To advise new staff how to manage information at the University so that they comply with legislation and University policy
What is covered?
  • The importance of information and its proper management to the University
  • Information Assurance Services – who we are, what we do
  • Information security – how to ensure information security at the University
  • Data protection – what’s meant by data protection and how to process personal data appropriately
  • Computer Misuse Act
  • Freedom of Information – rights, requests and legal guidance
How frequently will this run? Three times a year
Duration 1 hour 30 minutes
