Access to information not covered by the publication scheme

You have the right, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, to request access to any information held by a public authority which it has not already made available through its publication scheme.

Requests for access to information must be made in writing to the University’s Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer (see contact details section below). A request form for this purpose is accessible below. Please be careful to specify clearly all the information you require; all reasonable efforts will be made to locate this information, although it may be necessary to ask you to provide more detail if your original request does not permit an exact identification of the information you have requested. If you require advice on how to specify your needs, please contact the University’s Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer.

For some requests it may be necessary to charge a fee in respect of the provision of the information; in such cases the University will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of the amount. Once the request and any fee payable have been received, the University will usually provide you with a response within 20 working-days.
