Information security incidents (suspected or confirmed) relating to University of Leicester computers, data, networks or people should normally be reported to:

Unacceptable use of University Information and/or IT Facilities

Cases of unacceptable use of University information and/or IT facilities may be investigated by authorised staff. The findings will be reported as appropriate to the relevant Head of Department or the Registrar. In cases of policy violation deemed to be serious, wilful or repeated the University will not hesitate to take disciplinary action. Information Assurance Services and/or IT Services will liaise with University Security and the Police where necessary.
