In these circumstances, it is recognised that the members of staff concerned have experience and expertise which shall enable them to continue to contribute to the success of the University, given appropriate opportunity to do so. 


This web page will help you to understand how the redeployment process works at the University, including how to register, and what you can expect as a redeployee.


We offer regular workshops, and we highly recommend that you book a place on one of these if you are looking for redeployment.  These are designed to talk you through how the redeployment process works, including how to register and search for new roles, and what to do when you see a role you feel you are suitable for.  Our workshops are also designed to offer help and advice on how to write a CV and covering letter, as well as some useful interview skills.

Colleagues are asked to read the Redeployment Policy, Procedure and Flowchart prior to attending - links to these can be found at the end of this web page.

Joining the Register

You can join the redeployment register, where you will be given an opportunity to complete some basic registration information and add details of your skills and experience, and identify your preferences for new opportunities.

When registering, it is important you attach a CV, and complete all fields as fully as possible, which will help us to match your skills to suitable roles.

If you have not used the online system before, please use your University email address to register.

Please be aware that if you have applied for a job in the past using our on-line recruitment system, you will already have a username and password, and it is these that you should use.  If you have forgotten your password, you can send us a request from within the system for this to be sent to you.

  • Once logged in, you will see that your most recent job will be the Redeployment Register.
  • Click on the summary page, and answer each section.
  • Once you have confirmed that you have answered all the sections, submit your application.
  • You will receive a confirmation message via email. This means you are now registered.

Job Alerts

Once on the Redeployment Register, you should sign-up for job alerts, which will enable us to contact you as soon as a vacancy fitting your criteria is made live on the system.

We recommend you regularly search for new roles on the vacancies area of our website.

Applying for Roles

When you see a vacancy you wish to be considered for, please make your application on-line, clearly indicating, when asked, that you are a redeployee.  If you wish to discuss your eligibility before doing this, please contact the Recruitment Team.  Please also let us know that you have made an application, to ensure we give you the correct priority of consideration for the role.
